I’m going to be in the Loop for a couple of days next week. I think I’m going to go to Carson’s Ribs (I’m a BBQ fanatic), but where else would you recommend? Places with bars inside would be favored, since I’ll be alone and would like to have a few drinks. What about this Weber Grill place? Looks interesting.
There is a place on Monroe and Canal called Boston Blackies that sells Carson’s Ribs. I would say that the two places in town that have been showcased as great barbecue are Smoque and Fat Willy’s.
Giordano’s for good Deep Dish pizza.
Chicago style dog you can get pretty much at any stand, I prefer the dog with the Vienna beef link, it is a personal preference, I can taste the difference.
I am not hearing great, nor too bad feedback on Weber Grill, I was intrigued to try it once, too. I guess worth giving a try. Seems average to good.
If you are a heavy meat eater and don’t mind splurging. I recommend Fogo de Chao or Brazzazz, Brazilian Steakhouse, all you can eat cuts of everything! Meateaters delight!
Willies, out by Joliet they have BBQ, C&W music, cold beer, and an attitude!
hope this helps.
Uno’s Pizza or Gino’s East is a must if you are coming to Chicago
Don’t forget Portillo’s for Chicago Style Hotdogs, Italian Beef and Maxwell Street Polish.
